The SQMIZE® ELITE CLUB OB86PLm-KDK Powerlifting Bar in CrCN Black / Zinc Silver Matte looks good – but its true character is not immediately apparent. In the 680 kg version, it is a true workhorse: high-performance steel, a 29 mm shaft, robust bronze bushings, IPF markings at 810 mm, and center knurling. A barbell consistently developed for powerlifting competition training – squats, bench presses, and deadlifts.

Core Feature: 4 Bronze Bushings

Rotation is provided by four robust bronze bushings. Powerlifting does not require a free, fast spin, but rather controlled, smooth rotation: The bar should remain stable during squats, bench presses, and deadlifts instead of moving ahead of the lifter. That is exactly what the bronze bushings deliver – the specialized powerlifting spin, designed for easy maintenance and long-term durability.

Specialty Steel with 209,000 PSI Tensile Strength

The OB86PLm-KDK is made from alloy specialty steel designed to achieve a tensile strength of 209,000 PSI. The static load limit is 1,500 lbs (680 kg) – providing ample reserve for heavy sets during competition training. This is where the character of this bar becomes apparent: It looks like a design bar, but performs like a true workhorse.

Grip, Knurling and IPF Markings

The shaft has a diameter of 29 mm – the powerlifting standard. The knurling features a sharp profile and provides excellent grip: secure and slip-resistant enough for heavy deadlift sets. The center knurling provides additional grip on the back during squats and prevents the bar from slipping. For regulation-compliant grip positioning, the bar features IPF markings with a distance of 810 mm.

Coating: CrCN Black and Zinc Silver Matte

The shaft features a black CrCN Carbon-Chrome coating. It is extremely hard and durable while also being ultra-thin: It does not cover the knurling but enhances its grip – a noticeable advantage for a sharp-knurled powerlifting bar. It is also highly abrasion-resistant, making it durable for demanding everyday studio use. The barbell sleeves feature the proven zinc silver-matte coating, providing solid corrosion resistance. The bar is secured with high-quality SQMIZE® Dual Snap Ring end caps.

Scope of Delivery and Care

Included in delivery is a Powerlifting Bar SQMIZE® ELITE CLUB OB86PLm-KDK CrCN Black. The bar is classified as Commercial Grade and is therefore designed for continuous studio use. It is shipped from the factory with a protective layer of oil and film – remove the oil with a dry, soft cloth before first use. For all other care instructions, please refer to the enclosed instruction leaflet and our information on 50 mm barbells on the website.
