The SQMIZE® POWER PACK OB86PL-XE Olympic Bar is essentially a powerlifting bar – and an excellent choice for anyone who prefers to train without centre knurling. Its features include a 30 mm shaft with a Zinc Silver Matte coating, grippy knurling and a balanced bearing system with four bronze bushings. Its weight and dimensions follow the Olympic standard.
Powerlifting Without Centre Knurling
Not everyone wants the centre knurling of a classic power bar. While it provides additional grip on the back during squats, it can become uncomfortable during high-volume training. The OB86PL-XE deliberately omits centre knurling while retaining all the other characteristics of a powerlifting bar: a 30 mm shaft, IPF marking at 810 mm and a bronze-bushing bearing system that provides the controlled rotation required for powerlifting.
Core Feature: 4 Bronze Bushings
Rotation is provided by four bronze bushings. Powerlifting does not require a free, fast spin, but rather smooth, balanced rotation: the bar should remain stable during squats, bench presses and deadlifts without running ahead of the movement. The bronze bushings are robust, easy to maintain and durable.
Alloy Steel with 175,000 PSI Tensile Strength
The OB86PL-XE is manufactured from alloy steel and designed for a tensile strength of 175,000 PSI. Its static load limit is 1,000 lbs (450 kg) – a strong value for a 30 mm training bar and enough reserve capacity for ambitious powerlifting training in everyday gym use.
Grip, Knurling and IPF Marking
The shaft has a diameter of 30 mm, providing a substantial feel in the hand. The knurling is tuned to light sharp: grippy yet comfortable on the skin, even during high-repetition training. Centre knurling is deliberately omitted. For regulation-compliant grip positioning, the bar features the IPF marking at a distance of 810 mm.
Coating
The shaft and barbell sleeves are uniformly coated in Zinc Silver Matte. Zinc Silver Matte has proven itself as a durable and robust coating, providing solid rust resistance. The bar is secured with high-quality Dual Snap Ring end caps featuring an embossed SQMIZE® logo, which securely enclose the sleeves.

Scope of Delivery and Care
Included in delivery is one SQMIZE® POWER PACK OB86PL-XE Olympic Bar. The bar is supplied from the factory with a protective layer of oil and film – remove the oil with a dry, soft cloth before first use.
