SQMIZE® BBP-XS5 Training Bumper Plate 5 kg

At 24 mm, the 5 kg plate is the slimmest in the series and the step for fine increments. As a pair on a 20 kg barbell it makes 30 kg, and the bar sits at the same pulling height as it will later under full load.

Technique first

Snatches, cleans and deadlifts from the floor depend on the starting position. With the 5 kg plate, exactly this position can be grooved with a light load: hips, back and shoulders find their line before the weight goes up. Glutes, hamstrings and spinal erectors learn the pull from the floor at the height at which they will later perform it under working load.

Slim on the sleeve

A width of 24 mm leaves plenty of room next to the large plates. This makes the 5 kg plate the fine increment that adds 10 kg per pair to any load. The rounded stainless steel inner ring with a 50.4 mm opening fits any professional Olympic barbell with 50 mm sleeves. The color pigments are mixed directly into the rubber compound.

Quiet on the floor

At 86 Shore A, the compound sits in the harder range of the bumper scale. The bar lands, bounces briefly and stays put, even with a light load. The series has been through more than 15,000 drops in testing.

A word on toxic substances

In production, we do not use aromatic-rich plasticizer oils, from which polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) can be released. Declarations of conformity according to RoHS and REACH are available for the BBP-XS series.
